The Arabian or Oriental makeup has always been in vogue since it helps to make a woman look atractive and sedicuve. Remember how majestic Cleopatra looked in
all movies. All the times her eyes were heavily highlighted and it seems that she was the woman who created the cat eyes makeup to have striking
magic look.Cat eyes have always been in fashion from the time immemorial though currently this is highly demanded.
If you have no intentions to feature in movies you may think
that this makeup is not for you. You do
not think so since one wonderful day you may appear in the hot but luxury
coastline in Turkey or Egypt. And how would you feel yourself there? Besides, how
about those jollies where you may forget bout your modesty and enjoy it? If you
really believe that you can strip yourself only in the Southern hot sun on the beach,
the Arab-styled makeup is what you may require if try once. The New Year parties
and festivals also require thematic carnival parties where you may appear as
the hot beauty striking the men surrounding you. And yet, if you decide for it,
you need to take some hints on how to do it.
The basic rule of the Arabian makeup is lustrous eyes, even
complexion and seductive but not vulgar-looking lips. Matte and pearl cosmetics
are suitable for this kind of makeup. And yet, stresses and decorative spangles
may be traditionally placed to playfully decorate long lashes, eyelids, temples
or a forehead.
Well, let’s start with our Arabian makeup. The same as with the
other makeup, we go on with application of foundation. The even skin is too essential
in this makeup since any pimples, redness or unhealthy «green» complexion will spoil
the arrangements and your Arabian makeup will look vulgar and ridiculous. If you
have a lighter skin, you give a preference to the foundation of ivory white with
matting or slightly silky effect, though you’d better avoid the style of
beaches in the south when a bronze or a golden glowing complexion is required.
The eyes are too essential here and the face should not overplay here. And thus,
we do without the rouge at all.
The next significant stage that requires a thorough
procedure to be done is eye makeup. You need to have available two kinds of
eye-shadows when applying Arabian makeup. Three would be excellent when it may be
applied in fairly visible sparkling highlights. Feel courageous enough to
forget about the conservative traditional gamut of duo-shadows where the pack
of shadows places two similar in shade colors, where one shade is brighter, and
the other is lighter. The most adventurous will have two intensive shades of
shadows while more modest ones may prefer one bright eye-shadow and the other
may be of the compact color, as grey, white or brown. The concept of Arabian makeup
lies in the idea that one shade of eye-shadows is applied to wrap one eye
highlighted with an eye-liner where the second shade appears to be supportive
and is applied on the top of the upper lid, very close to eyebrows or a little
bit lower of the basic shade on the lower lid, if necessary.
The base is applied onto the eyes which goes to be auxiliary
and is spread to the eyebrow line. Then eyes are traditionally highlighted with
liquid eyeliner or an eye-pencil. The pointing lines are a must in the Arabian
makeup and here they are more essential than other strokes of professional
makeup stylist. The eyes are lined as virtuosic as possible lining the contour of
the eyes, drawing lines along the eyelid mucous with arrows that go too far the
outer corner of the eyes or draw a black line towards the inner corner, thus
changing the form of eyes completely. Afterwards,
the basic shade of the eye-shadows is applied onto the movable upper eyelid,
highlighting the lower line if necessary or somewhat to the sides making the
eyes almond-shaped. And important, remember of your eyebrows. They may stay thin
or wide, though they should be accurate, and then and only then the bright and
charming Arabian makeup will look suitable.
The Arabian makeup assumes supple and natural lips,
therefore try to use a good moisturizer of warm shades without pearl or
glittering effect. The candy, tender rose pink, and beige shades are perfect
with this makeup, though light brown is also acceptable if not dark, though.
The trendiest match of the color gamut for eye-shadows for
today is the violet /pink /purple with the various shades of green color. Such
match will highly emphasize the beauty of eyes of any color providing that the
right shade is chosen appropriately in regards to the cold or warm variation of
any color.
