Massage is
one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy and is a system of stroking,
pressing and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax,
stimulate, and tone the body. Massage
does much more than create a pleasant sensation on the skin, it also works on
the soft tissues including muscles, tendons, and ligaments to improve muscle
tone. Although it largely affects those muscles just under the skin, its
benefits may also reach the deeper layers of muscle and possibly even the
organs themselves.
Cosmetic
massage copes with some problems that may be corrected with the hands of
cosmetologist. It helps to extend youth and stop the time of ageing. It makes
the skin elastic, removes edema, perfects the face oval and gives the ideal
complexion.
The
targeted age for such massages start from 28. The process of ageing is in the
early stage and it can be suspended. On the top of it, anti-ageing creams have
more effect.
Another
indication is the impairment of sebaceous glands when the skin gets dry or
greasy. However, the massage is strictly forbidden with inflammatory processes
of the skin, like dermatitis, herpes, eczema, fungi since you have the risk to
spread the infection. Also avoid massaging dehydrated skin, otherwise you risk
to get wrinkles.
Apply
creams or essences to move smoothly. If you have dry skin, then apply jasmine,
Camomile or ylang-ylang essences. You make your greasy skin happy if you use eucalyptus
oil, juniper, lemon or essence of bergamot. Normal skin will be enjoyed with sandalwood,
patchouli, lavender and cedar oils. With the ageing skin add some sagy clary
oil to the basic essence you chose.
Remember that
the massage is made along the lines of the less skin extent:

it. First, clean the skin, put the hot compress on the face, hide the hair, sit

then go to zigzagging strokes. By the way, remember that force and tissue stretching
is forbidden.
Another important
movement is snail in the form of spiral twisted to inside. It is good for the
forehead as well as for cheeks lifting the drooping skin. The hanging skin at
cheeks will also like the «grid» in the form of light pinches vertically, from
the lower jaw to the jugal bridge, and horizontally from the wings of nose,
mouth corners and the chin to auricles.
Pinches are
effective massaging movements. Practice on wrinkles taking the skin with two fingers
perpendicular to wrinkles and going along the wrinkles pinching the skin.
At the end
of the procedure tap all massage lines with finger pads.
Ideally,
you need several exercises to strengthen facial muscles. There is a range of movements,
they are easy to perform, yet, they are effective. Perform massage and exercises
regularly several times a week, and your face skin will be rejuvenated for the
long time.
And
finally, today the most popular cosmetic procedure is the rejuvenating facial
massage. Massage procedures made at home are not that effective unlike the professional
procedures, but first, you know and feel your skin better than anyone, second,
you can control your force and tension of movements, and, third, with regular
massages, you have the chance to find the most effective movements to create
the individual program for you.
Should the
massage done wrongly and unprofessionally, you face the consequences alone with
your skin since incompetent massage cause more severe problems than you have
now. Never endure unpleasant feelings during massaging and inform the master
about the intensity of movements. On the top of it, if you feel that the
masseur stretches and injure your skin, you'd better stop taking his services.
