Femininity
is different. It ranges from dramatic, effective and killing to romantic and
naïve. Femininity may appear as strict, cold and royal sometimes the femininity
is infantile, light-minded and incredibly touching. And this kind of femininity
is cultivated by the French brand Cacharel.
Jean
Bruske, the son to the seller of sewing machines, founded the company in the
end of the 50s. He thought reasonably that the fashion for women wear did not
have sufficient femininity, lightness and casualty. New look turned a woman into
a goddess, a wonderful flower in skirts, and the title of the goddess obliged
women to look appropriately. Women of that time forgot how to look like girls and
women.
And
Jean Bruske created his first item of women wear that succeeded. It was half-translucent
blouses from the fabric that was the mixture of silk and cotton. He experienced
the striking triumph when the movie « Et
Dieu... crea la femme» (And God Created Woman) featuring Brigitte Bardot in the
astonishing white blouse by Cacharel. At the same time the model in the same
blouse appeared on the cover of Elle, the mega popular magazine. Jean Bruske woke
up a star, and his intention to give women the femininity proved itself.
In
the middle of the 70s Cacharel in concert with L'Oreal initiated creation of
new perfume line. Today the Cacharel fragrances are more popular and demanded
than collections of clothes, yet, the names of fragrances are known all over
the world, like Cacharel pour l'Homme, Loulou, Eden, Loulou Blue, Eau d'Eden, Noa,
Nemo, Gloria, Amor Amor, Amor Amor Eau Fraiche, Noa Fleur, Noa Perle, Promesse and
Amor pour homme.
The
firm style by Cacharel was under development that time and the models reminded
little and obedient girls who like bright flowers on tender and pastel
background, who like streaming fabric and consider themselves as princesses.
The
brand came to its prosperity in 2000 when the office of the creative manager
was given to talented designers, a couple Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro. The
couple of designers aimed at the creative youth who dream about the stylish,
naïve and somewhat careless. The model line was renewed thanks to small but essential
details, fresh ideas and reevaluation of the time of fashionable 70s.
It
became obvious in 2008 that Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro indented to
leave the company. And in the end of 2008 the company incurred the essential
loss again. The company designers Mark Eley and Vakako Kishimoto left the
Company. Now we see that the new team seeks to find the approach with the
clients and tries to realize the own concept of the brand.
Nevertheless,
whatever happens inside the company, Cacharel brand cares of itself. Whoever is
the creative director of the company, whoever designers are employed to develop
new ideas, the general direction is still the same, and models are the souls of
little girls who wish their dreams come true.
The
French style is something too far cute and touching. Cacharel is the French style
times twice; it is the quintessence of the style. Childish models go with dresses
styled as in the 60s to show the elegance of Audrey Hepburn. The length of
skirts and dresses by Cacharel are rare when they go to the knee. Tiny dresses
of every Spring-Summer Collection are the entire maximum mini, though they do
not cause the aggressive sexual look thanks to naïve tailoring and touching
flowery prints.
Cacharel
is also known for charming skirts and cute mini-shorts, and also one-strap
blouses that look like they are mother's clothes that a little girl puts on. The
pink, red, white, blue, violet and purple prevail, and a little bit black as
the background only for the vivid color gamut, and yet, little girls do not
like black color.
The
only thing that is not present in Cacharel collection are things that play
experiments with the women shapes. No architectural fancies, wide shoulders and
breeches. Cacharel designers consider that a woman should have a fragile silhouette,
long legs and thing waist and all the advantages should be modeled with
dresses. Therefore, Cacharel clothes are feminine wear for 100%. Such a femininity
that win forever.
