A French
braiding is a beautiful hairstyle, but it's not easy to learn. However, if you
follow all the required steps carefully and patiently, you will be able to
braid your own hair (or someone else's) into a timeless, classic style. Usually
the youth chooses this hairdo and the active people who are confident in their
desires and actions. Such a hairdo is loved by both sexes. French braid, also known
as «French» is like the well-acknowledged dreadlocks.
They differ in one and the
only detail - first, the braids are made on the head directly, at the root of hair
close to the skin creating fanciful designs from plain parallel straight lines
to complicated and artfully braided and twisted ornaments, round patterns and
zigzags.
Sometimes people
confuse braids with the hairdo called French plait, also known as ‘fishtail'.
French braid is very alike dreadlocks, but it is rather a kind of it. It is smaller in size, plaited more tightly
than dreadlocks.
If you search
for new styles, if you live a lively life and go in for extreme kind of sports,
or just the only intention of yours is to show off in the crowd, then this
original and funny braids is exactly what you need. The majority of women wear short
hairdo, or medium and long hair, and you will be like a bright spot in the
crowd of other women.
If you remember,
David Backham sometime wore French braids that was populated by the fans and
then by the wide public, yet, the beauty salon masters hardly found time to serve
those who longed to experience a new and trendy hairdo.
As well as
for dreadlocks, this hairdo is plaited in the natural hair using some
artificial hair if and when necessary. The advantage of the French braids is
that you can have your hair plaited even if your hair is 10-15 cm long. The hair will be
tightly plaited very close to the skin that will not disturb you in your everyday
active life style when doing sports, for instance.
If you have
short hairdo but you are short of time to style it or just got sick to do that,
the braids is the real solution for you. The professional hairdresser will
plait your hair in splendid net or zigzag and the braids will end at the neck line.
In case you
wear medium or long hair, French braids is also a good solution. You are
welcome to choose the pattern you want to have in your hair and then it is up
to you, to choose different decorative elements, locks of other shades or other
artificial material.
The whole
process of plaiting lasts longer than average dreadlocks since masters plait
your hair very close to the skin. In the event if you choose a fanciful pattern,
you need to consider your time, the process is time-consuming enough.
Once you
have your hair plaited in French style, you may wear it for a month or a little
bit longer, much shorter than dreadlocks since when your hair grows, new hair
spoils the hairdo and makes it less effective-looking. You need to go to the hairdresser's
and renew the hairdo. After you had your braids undone, you'd better take some time
and use various hair care products for rehabilitation, rejuvenation and
nourishing purposes.
Use soft
shampoo and a sponge to wash your French braids or wash it in the traditional
way. Avoid rubbing your hair with a towel since you may disturb the pattern and
spoil the entire effect. You do not need using balms and masks since they
cannot go deep into the hair and in case they do, they make your hair greasy
and untidy when all the stuff is piled up in the hair.
You are not
recommended that you have the French braids if your hair is weak since this
hairdo will spoil and trauma it for sure. And something else, only if you are
sure that the skin of your head is clean and healthy, then you are welcome to
have this hairdo. Otherwise, you will only shock and make bad impression on
people surrounding you with greasy skin, dandruff and wounds.
One more thing,
if you tend to lose your hair do not try the braids. This hairdo will only worsen
your problem for it makes more tension to the hair roots.
