In the present-day fashion season, both long and short hairstyles are equally fashionable. Recently, hair designers were categorical trend-setters: today everyone must wear only short hairstyles, and tomorrow they should have long ones (No personal long curls? Get hair extansion for reckless money but remain within the mainstream of fashion).
Today, everything is much more democratic. Probably, stylists have
finally realized that a modern self-sufficient woman still do things
her ways. So, the main rule of a modern social psychology still works:
if you cannot defeat a process, lead it. Here, stylists rushed to
negotiate with their potential clients offering them wider choice. At
this, indeed, some of the liveliest hits of hair fashion for long hairs
all the same, require some adaptation.
The law of large volumes
All
the fashion of the present-day summer season is filled with a cheerful
levity. Is it necessary to be surprised that large volumes of hair have
taken the place of ideal combed hair and hairs of smooth small heads?
As a result, ladies' heads remind of wild unkempt hair dolls of the
socialist German Democratic Republic (GDR) era, of the characters of
the ancient Venetian theatre, or of the powdered curls of the French
courtesans at the courtyard of someone of Louis similar to the Sun. A
good half of stylists has suddenly taken a great interest in thick
teased hairstyles, which have long been absolutely indecent. We now see
them on show at the spring-summer collections of this year's leading
Fashion houses of John Galliano, Emilio Pucci, Anna Sui, Marc by Marc
Jacobs, Moschino, Stella McCartney, Christian Dior and Roberto Cavalli.
Teased hairstyles could be simply applied on long hairs. In doing so,
additional effect and fluffy soft hair are created. Other stylists
offer to pick up loose hairs by teasing the hairs and simply packing
them higher at the top or slightly lower at the back of the head. You
would get something like a "crow's nest" or in the style of Chekhov's
Three Sisters or in the style of the seventies. Another option is when
the hairstyle turns into a complex construction of creatively packed
straggle with the help of a strong fixing substance. These masterpieces
in this sense were demonstrated at the spring-summer Christian Dior
Fashion Show.
Creativity in bunch
However, it is easy to
assume such a thick teased hair does not match every woman. Secondly,
it is quite traumatic for hair reception. When teasing hair, the hair
keratin is inevitably damaged and then the hair would require certain
hair restoration procedures. So, it is generally contraindicated for
weak and thin hair. Therefore, a variety of (very imaginative) bunches
and rolls are being offered this season for those who would like to
have some creativity on their heads and would not like to spoil it.
Such bunches emerge when twisting curls in large hair rollers or when
drying hair using a round brush with diameter of more than three
centimetres. Then, all the hairs could be gathered into a soft tail and
made into a soft, not tight bunch using thin hair pins. Hair could also
be divided into two or three tails and then you make a bunch from each
of the tails and bind them together. But the new innovation of this
season are not bunches but rolls made in the style of the a la Stuart
bangs that were popular in the Sixties. The hair is slightly combed,
then sleeked and twisted with large hair rollers. Large hair rolls that
emerge after removing the hair rollers are packed with thin hairpins
and fixed using hairspray and foam. Today, such rolls could be in place
of bangs, in place of the usual bunch at the back of the head or as a
kind of "cockleshells" from which a smooth tail hangs down.
Games of playful wind
It
seems it is easier to simply loose the turbulent curls. And even among
the actual images of spring and summer, there are such slightly unkempt
long and fluffy hairs as if swept by a playful wind. In fact, this
option requires some effort and thorough hair care. Otherwise, you
would not achieve the desired romantic effect but only negligence and
inattention. So, your long hair should be thoroughly washed. Do not
wipe but cautiously dry using towels. It is desirable in this case to
use hair balm or hair conditioner, but carefully rinse the hair so that
there would not be any extra substances (nourishing substances) left.
Then apply hair mousse or foam at the hair roots to give volume and
then, gently fluff up the hair with fingers and distribute the applied
substance throughout the entire length. It is inadvisable to use hair
rollers or voluminous brush because you would get very tight curls. But
if you divide the hair in straggles, twist them with a twisted strip
and pin them to the head in such a "ring-shaped" form.. You would then
get a soft and natural wave after drying. The hair parting could be
either straight or braided. Stylists this season do not demand
uniformity. In addition, you can straighten locks on the head with the
help of gel and leave natural wave only by the hair length. This is
also a very romantic look.
