As we age, our faces begin to show the effects of
gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement, such as smiling,
chewing and squinting. The underlying tissues that keep our skin looking
youthful and plumped up begin to break down, often leaving laugh lines, smile
lines, crow's feet or facial creases over the areas where this muscle movement
occurs.
Contour plastics is filling up the soft tissue
deficit
by introduction of injection implants. Injection contour plastics enable
to
correct wrinkles and folds on the face, deformations and hypertrophic
scars, to
change lip contour, «lift up» the corners of downturning mouth, enhance
the inner
volume of tissues in order to change the face shape.
Soft-tissue fillers can help fill in lines and
creases, temporarily restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking
appearance.
When injected beneath the skin, these fillers plump up creased and
sunken areas
of the face. They can also add fullness to the lips and cheeks.
Injectable
fillers may be used alone or in conjunction with a resurfacing
procedure, such
as a laser treatment, or a recontouring procedure, such as a facelift.
One can get these procedures done starting at the
age
of 25-28, as a preventive measure against mimic wrinkles. This can also
help
you restrain yourself from frowning too much and keep the skin nice and
smooth.
You mimics, despite the rumors, does not disappear, but becomes more
controlled
and smooth. Preparations for contour plastics are fillers based on
hyaluronic acid, collagen and liquid silicone.
Hyaluronic acid doesn't simple fill the wrinkles,
but
also stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin and attracts the
moisture. In other words, the skin's overall condition improves; it
becomes
more elastic and hydrated. The face looks fresh and rested.
Hyaluronic acid is also used in other medications
used
for contour plastics, such as Uviderm, Belotero and Surgiderm. These
medications are injected into the areas around the lips, cheekbones,
cleavage,
neck, nasolabial fold. All of these substances have been proven to be
highly
effective and safe, which reasons the active application in contour
plastics.
The effect of such medications lasts for about 6-1 months, after which
the
procedure can be performed again to make the effect last longer.
If you have enlarged pores on the area subjected to
treatment, you are recommended to have treatment on tightening up the
skin
tissues: lotion for tightening up the skin, a cleansing mask or
preparation on
the basis of acids of Vitamin A or on the basis of AHA. It is strongly
recommended not to use aspirin or anti-inflammatory preparations during
three
days, and if possible, during a week before the session of injections.
The procedure itself causes the patient no
discomfort
and requires no recovery. After the injection the spot where the
medication has
been injected, may remain a little red for a couple of hours, after
which it
disappears without a trace.
Unfortunately, not every injection procedure goes
smoothly. Sometimes fillers can have side effects and even be rejected
by the
body. Therefore, it's highly recommended to carefully monitor your
condition
for several weeks after the filler injections and follow the guidelines
provided by the doctor. In case of any
problems consult your doctor immediately.
