Intimate surgery
is the recovery of the look or the lost functions of genitals by means of
surgery. You can have intimate surgery done for functional or aesthetic
purposes. One of the most demanded surgery is penis circumcision. Circumcision
is a relatively simple procedure, which involves the removal of the foreskin of
the penis. Very often circumcision is done due to religious purposes though
sometimes the procedure may be done in case of phimosis.
However,
the procedure of circumcision is not a single surgery in intimate plastic for
men. Surgery techniques are often performed for penile lengthening purposes, penis
thickening or widening, and correction of bent penis. Also the prosthetics is
performed for the missing testicles.
Nowadays,
there are various means to lengthen the penis from pills, ointments and creams
to various injections. The specialists advise unsuspecting men on the only miraculous
means that helps lengthen the penis. This is preparations of active
testosterone fractions. However, such medications are effective only up to the period
of puberty that is when men are within 12 and 15 and within one to two years
after the puberty period. Later on, when
the man grows adult, no other medications, biological additives and injections
are able to lengthen the penis. And the only effective technique when and if necessary
is ligamentotomy. Ligamentotomy is a surgical procedure on penis lengthening
with further use of special stretching device, called extender. It is required
to use otherwise the result will not be effective at all.
Apart from
penis lengthening, the specialists offer procedures on penis thickening. It is
important to note, that penile widening surgery only increases the width of the
penis in its flaccid condition, and that it usually doesn't add much of a
noticeable difference when erect. You must also be aware, that the result of
penile widening surgery varies a lot from patient to patient. To do this
procedure, a muscle flap is transplanted and blood supply is provided in the
transplanted tissue. Currently this
procedure is considered as the most effective and appropriate. The tissue to be
transplanted is often the patch of the rectus on its own vessels. During this
surgery the rectus is left available when the element of it is excised with the
artery and vein. Then the muscle is transplanted into the skin, underneath the
shaft of the penis. The advantage of this technique is that the sufficient
amount of the transplanted material allows the required enlarging of the penis
avoiding the process of vessels suturing. Moreover, the technique is good that the
transplant is unlikely to be rejected.
Some men
are born with an arch on their penis, which typically is shown during puberty
period. In most cases an arched penis will, however, be caused by Peyronie's
disease - a condition where the penis has a curve on the shaft. In these cases
surgery is recommended.
The disease can strike men of any age, but is not usually seen with men under
the age of 40. The condition occurs, when scar tissue is formed underneath the
skin of the penis, which gives it the arch, and makes it look bent. The scar
tissue will then develop further over the next few years, after which the
development stops. Bent penis is the cause to seek for surgery. As a rule, the bend
is seen during the erection to any side. However, the surgeons inform patients applied
with bent penis for surgery that a minor deviation of the penis off the direct
axis is not of clinical value and does not require surgical correction. It is recommended
when the erection is painful, when the coitus is not feasible due to mechanical
barriers and when the coitus brings pain. The basic method of bent penis treatment
is the surgery when a saline fluid is injected into the penis, in order to
create an artificial erection, which will then make the arch visible. The
surgeon will then make an incision, after which a thread will be inserted to
straighten out the penis. The incision is closed using dissolvable sutures.
The
intimate surgery offers prosthesis for those men who do not have one or both
testicles. Many of them do not feel uncomfortable without one or both
testicles, though the defect makes their social and sexual adaptation
complicated. The reasons of absence of testicles in scrotum may be different
from patient to patient. One of the reasons is anomaly of intrauterine growth. The
other is the results of surgery of testicle removal after the trauma, suppurative
inflammation or tumor. And testicle prosthesis may help the scrotum look
natural. The prosthesis is offered individually for every patient to achieve
the most esthetic result after the surgery is done. The prosthesis is safe for
the organism and it does not cause allergy.
The scope
of men who seek for intimate plastic is growing. The modern treatment
techniques help restore the natural penile look and overcome low esteem and
enjoy the effective sexual life.
