As a child, Hrithik was a very weak boy. Apart from all
infant diseases, Hrithik took very hard his physical defect that was very rare
in nature - he had six fingers on his right hand. However, he felt very enticed
to cinema and very soon Hrithik was hired as the Director Assistant to work for
his father - Rakesh Roshan and he secretly attended actor classes.
Eventually a fortune turned its face to him. Rakesh was about
to make a movie starring Salman Khan and Hrithik was of the opinion that the
role was as especially appropriate for a newcomer. His father did not welcome
that idea at all though later on he found Hrithik and offered the role to him to
try. And the arrangements so trying started in on. Hrithik became to hobnob to
dancing and bodybuilding made his body stronger and eye-catching. And in four
months he set to filming.
The success of «Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai » brought the
incredible inspiration to a young actor and he signed several contracts at a
time. But alas, he realized in fact what the changeable audience was. His movies
failed one by another and there were announcement by mass media that he played
out though earlier it praised him to the skies. His terrible spot was for a while
paused by the movie «Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham» by Karan Johar, and the movie
was a socko box office success to get the third in the rank of Bollywood
history. At the end of the day, he was unlucky and he was so close to get
neglected finally.
And here Hrithik father gave his a hand. He offered a role
in his project «Koi... Mil Gaya» and Hrithik starred in the first Indian movie
about aliens. The picture was a great hit and the Indians all over again took heart
to Hrithik, yet the actor was awarded Filmfare for the character of a retarded
guy he starred. Though his next two
movies «Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon» and «Lakshya» did not appear to be a box-office
hit, they were anyway favorably accepted by the public and his good name as a
talented and diverse actor was proved finally.
In 2006 two movies by Hrithik were launched, they are «Krrish»
and «Dhoom 2» that were real successful in box-office terms in India and abroad
either. Krrish, the sequel of «Koi... Mil Gaya» made Hrithik the first Indian Super
Hero, while he was awarded Filmfare Award for the part of a crime in «Dhoom 2».
«Jodhaa Akbar», the historical epic by Ashutosh Govarikar
was launched in 2008 where Hrithik appeared presenting a magnificent Emperor
Akbar. Unfortunately, the film failed in India though it was acknowledged worldwide
and was awarded a Grand-Prix at «Golden Minbar», the Muslim Movies Festival.
Besides, Hrithik is the happiest husband and father. In
2000, he married to Sussane Khan, daughter of Sanjay Khan. They are
acknowledged to be the most beautiful couple in Bollywood. In 2006 his son Hrehaan
Roshan was born, and recently, on May 1, 2008, Hrithik became the happiest
father in the world for the second time. A son was born, Ridan. And however the
mass media is from time to time ready to «disclose» Hrithik's love affairs with
his movie partners, the actor admits that he is in a great love with his wife
and that he dreams to have a daughter.
Recently Hrithik is starring in The Kites, the movie by the
director Anurag Basu famous by his scandal naturalistic movies «Murder» and «Life in a Metro».
