As far as
we know Swiss watches are associated with accuracy, trustworthiness, brand,
with all the actual attributes of the real gentleman. And the majority of the oldest
and the most famed Swiss watches are positioned like that. And only Carl F.
Bucherer initially created watches as the luxury, elegant and stylish element,
as the elite accessory for the wealthy people. This is why even the watches for
men of this company are greatly appreciated by women either.
The Carl F.
Bucherer brand stands for uncompromising quality as well as highly beautiful
and stylish products. It combines the best in watch making craftsmanship with
fine jewelry-making skills, yet the watches are created for unique and luxury
people who value their time, for independent individuals, for those who make
their life on their own.
The
Company's background does not refer to the small watch workshop and not to the
reputation of the best watchmaker in the county. Carl F. Bucherer and his wife Luiza
a priori considered trade of watches as the art work building and selling a
luxury life to their customers. Unlike the majority of Swiss companies who would
invite their customers to their factories and demonstrate the assembly of their
products, Carl F. Bucherer had his customers in his shop where he exhibited the
ready models of watches at the best angles to customers to adore and realize
that the items were exclusively made for the sake of each of them. That time Carl
F. Bucherer did not manufacture watches of his own, he was just able to trade
with them perfectly.
We could say
that this story started in 1888 when a businessman in Flankenplatz, in the
resort city Lucerne, at the Lake of Four Cantons in Switzerland, opened his
first Watch And Jewelry Store along with his wife Luise. The place was not chosen
out of the blue, since Lucerne was one of the most superb and fashionable
places in Switzerland gathering the richest tourists in one place. In a while,
Bucherer won Switzerland when he opened boutiques in several up-to-the-minute
and popular resorts, like Lugano, St. Moritz and Interlaken. In 1915 Bucherer store
was opened in Unter den Linden, the central street in Berlin where the luxury
and stylish timepieces were in great demand.
Almost in the
same period Carl Eduard and Ernst, Bucherer's sons, joined the father. Apart from
the real commercial intuition inherited from their father, Ernst was a perfect watchmaker
and his talent was officially recognized when he was employed as the official watch
maker to William II, Kaiser of Germany. And it was him who created the first
timepiece Bucherer branded. Though it was not a watch but a fine and luxury
item, this exact model won popularity thanks to women models styled Art Deco.
Carl F.
Bucherer brand growth is compared with that of Tiffany & Co., which grew to
the reputed manufacturer from the small boutique, and in a while turned into
the symbol of the American Jewelry Art. So Bucherer House is the national pride
for Swiss people as well as Tiffany & Co. for Americans and Mauboussin for
the French nation. This company was in the top three companies next to Rolex and
Omega which stayed required and reputed and continued manufacturing mechanical timepieces
and magnificent watches during the crisis of mechanical watches. On the top of it,
few people know about close relations between Ernst Bucherer and Hans Wilsdorf.
And less know that the latter is the founder of Rolex, the watch industry. Though
unlike Bucherer his name is not in the history tables.
Currently
the Bucherer Company is guided by Jörg Bucherer, the grandson of the legendary grandfather.
The last achievement of the company is the exclusive model by Carl F. Bucherer
to honor the grandfather which includes three collections differing in style
and performance. One of them is Pathos, delicate and graceful women wear line. Another
one Archimedes, solid and stylish at the same time. And the third one, Patravi,
is one of the trendiest hits of the season that matched unique designer watches
with multifunctional mechanisms. Each one is exclusive and creative but all of
them are luxury, chic and superior. Leaving alone stylish round watches of 40 mm in diameter equipped with
all possible functions from Patravi that were much liked by both men and no
less confident women. According to Bucherer policy, everyone is worth success
and luxury life.
