Fashion designers demonstrated basic collections of the coming season
several months agoand new tendencies of fashion are worth mentioning.
Velvet
appears as one of the mostdemanded fabric for clothing including for
luxury evening dresses.
Lace as the material forwinter wear seems to be inappropriate, at first
sight. Nevertheless, the results of implementation of the
most adventurous designer solutions are impressive and far more
triumphant: the
runways in the world are full of lavish, elegant and incredibly feminine
evening dresses, far more gorgeous than ever.
Velvet revolution
Velvet is known
for the vintage charm and subdued noble luster to become one of popular fabrics
for collections of autumn-winter 2010-2011. Various fashion designers offered
almost all garments of women’s wear at the runway, from classic skirts and
dresses for daily wear to luxury evening gowns. The special texture of velvet along
with the rigorous tints of the color added the exceptional attract and
attention to evening dresses growing to the royal lavish.
Antonio Berardi, the
fashion designer, became the real trendsetter of velvet revolution for the
coming autumn-winter season and who employed velvet completely for all
collection details. The evening gowns from the new collection by Berardi are
quite simple in tailoring offering open shoulders, short sleeves and seducing
low neckline with minimum decorative elements. In spite of plain design, the dresses
by Berardi are extremely beautiful and mostly for the favor of velvet of rich
and sensitive dark red color.
Velvet for evening
dresses was used by designers of the fashion brand Andrew Gn, who demonstrated
the series of lavish evening ensembles from black velvet with alluring low
neckline, with ruche trimming and floral applications of contrasting golden
tint. The designer from Italy,
Giorgio Armani, matched the lavish black velvet with the dull luster of silver
trimming in his evening ensembles. So, the classic straight evening dress
closely fitted by Armani was complemented with the decorative broche on the
shoulder. Ralph Lauren offered evening dresses from velvet of luxury raspberry
pink color in his autumn collection complemented with the zest of the image:
long gloves above the elbow made from black lace. Velvet evening ensembles were
demonstrated at Nanette Lepore runway with the unusual glimmering of juicy
orange shade so charming for the favor of the natural velvet luster.
Fashionable
silhouette
The autumn and
winter season is marked with the proper tendency to simplification when the most
designers created their collections on the stylish interpretation of classic
style headed by practical approach and laconic tailoring. The evening dresses,
so puffy and extravagant, were replaced by the restricted and simple gowns, so
much alluring, though straight or tightly fitted. A high slit is a must-have
attribute which adds more sexual appeal like collections by Hussein Chalayan, Antonio Berardi,
Elie Saab), open shoulders, low neckline and seductive lace insets.
However,
those ladies who tend for fluffy elements should not go in despair in the new
season since incredibly beautiful dresses were offered by Louis Vuitton,
Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Andrew Gn, Carolina Herrera, Marchesa, John Galliano,
and Giorgio Armani. The major feature of such dresses are layered skirts made
from the delicate and thin chiffon or silk matched with the tightly fitted top
which adds balance to the shapes or decoration with ruches as the dresses
presented by Valentino. Nimbleness of laced or chiffon layers of tender pastel
shades of pink, brown, grey or blue evoke more charisma to evening dresses.
Evening
dresses, whatever fabric is used, should be effective and impressive. And this
is the main rule to stay within this frame.
