Spring-Summer Collections 2010 shall promise to show elegant and comfortable shoes as it seems when the designers keep on
using the basic shoe trends that were successfully used in autumn collections.
So, what kind of shoes is offered fashionable for the next year? In summer the platform-sole shoes will appear in a wide variety and the heels will be higher and the design
of shoes is too far more extravagant. Animalistic patterns are still trendy, and
vivid color gamut still presents as well as models with open toe.
In Spring-Summer 2010 season women shoes completely turned into
somewhat work of art, when the classic plain shoes are too rare to meet only in
the few designer collections. Currently every designer or the reputed brand
puts every attempt to add somehow unique and extravagant detail into the
classic canons of shoe fashion, from the heels of extravagant shape to the
structure of the she itself.
Alexander McQueen is the real trendsetter in shoe design. Lately he presented
the «alien» collection Spring-Summer 2010 with the shoes on the solid
platform-sole, and incredibly high heels that never resemble the ordinary and
comfortable shoes. It is obvious that such shoes are not created for every day;
they just appear as the absolute quintessence
of the new trendy style where women shoes is not something to wear but adore
and admire as the works of art.
The other designers show less drastic women shoes in regards to the
structure and design, making only heels innovative and unique. Accordingly, Miuccia
Prada added the models into the Prada Collection that resemble Cinderella
shoes. Surely, the shoes are not made from crystal but from the special plastic
lucite and the shoes are almost fully translucent as the fairy shoes.
Christopher Cane launched shoes with massive and high heels that resemble the
spiral carved from the plastic, while Dolce & Gabbana shoes were made from
lace attached to two thin bands of lather. Emilio Pucci shoes present the match
of decorative lacing with the stiletto heel the same as Hermes shoes. Jill Sander
presents the curved «loop» from the hard metal, when John Galliano shoes are
supported with the solid platform-sole and extremely high heels as if made from
huge beads. Even Carolina Herrera with her classic feminine works included «weaved»
shoes on stiletto heels into her new Summer Collection.
One of the most remarkable trends of fashionable shoes of Spring-Summer
2010 is the global trend to decorate the things. Fashion designers have their shoes
appear extravagant due to the abundance of decorative elements. Marc Jacobs was the one to distinguish with
such shoes and Louis Vuitton who beatified the shoes with
the decorative tassels. Lacing appeared to be the trendiest decorative element
that is seen in models by Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander Wang, Emilio Pucci and
Hermes. Matthew Williamson put his shoes with satin bows, Nina Ricci works
boast with cut out and laces, while Valentino demonstrates luxury ruches from
the thinnest black lace.
The other essential element demonstrated in Spring-Summer Collections of
the fashionable shoes are prints, from abstract to animalistic. Leopard
patterns are seen on the shoes by Miu Miu, gram pattern with John Galliano, the
«snake» print is on Lanvin and Oscar de la Renta, and the abstract spotty variegated pattern on Roberto Cavalli shoes.
The solid heels so popular in Autumn collections are likely to disappear
in the Spring-Summer’2010 Collections when elegant stiletto heels or tiny heels
are preferred to massive conic heels. On the top of it, flat shoes get the same
popular as the heeled shoes. The solid platform-sole are still in vogue.
Moreover, they are getting more demanded and many reputed designers like John
Galliano, Donna Karan, Burberry and Gucci include shoes on platform.
Along with the massive heel, the narrow sharp toe piece finally
disappeared and Spring-Summer Collection shoes appear as elegant round toe or
open toe as Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Emilio Pucci, Hermes and Valentino
launched in new collections.
