Some time back
our grandmas and grandpas enjoyed the opportunity to rest in the resorts that
can be found in the territory of residence. Traveling was the hobby or the
prerogative of the wealthy who could afford flying to every corner of the
planet to find the satisfaction of dreams and wishes. Today the borders are
extended to every single part of the world and our income is stably high to the
level that we can now afford traveling to wherever we want and plan. And
traveling is no longer exclusive and unusual activity for ordinary people.
Nevertheless,
there are vacation kinds that are still considered exotic. Exotic for ordinary
person stands for original and unusual things that go beyond understanding that
gives new extreme emotions and feelings. So, what is the exotic vacation for
those who work with recreational activity, in particular tour agencies? When you
examine tour brochures and offers of tour agencies, you will find that most countries
fall into the category of exotic place to travel. Yet, the places of non-exotic
tours include some European countries. Surely, what is unusual and exciting about
two-week bus trip along the countries of the Old World?
Thus, when you are offered exotic tours in the tour agencies, you may be sure
you are proposed trips to countries that are at some distance from your place. Most
often the list includes the Asian countries (Singapore,
Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia,
India, and Thailand), tropic countries (Seychelles, Mauritius,
Bali, Maldives,
Cape Verde) and countries of
Latin America (Chile, Dominican Republic, Mexico,
Argentina, Brazil). The trips
to African countries are offered considerably rare because of the unaccustomed
climate and political instability and to Arabian countries since the
competition is too high with Turkey
and Egypt.
Later on you realize that the exotic feeling is achieved by the number of hours
you spent flying between the points of destination. Moreover, the wonderful
landscapes and cultural and historical places of interest commit to your
impressions. On the whole, this is the ordinary health resort recreation at
three and four-star hotels with the similar set of services the tourists are
provided at the places customary to spend the funds saved within a year.
Once you are full of energy to find really exotic places to have a
rest,
then you are offeredtwo kinds of recreation. First, extreme vacation
either the recreation which is hard to call avacation as we see it. The
extreme vacation includes the activity for
a day or a week to show the good physical condition. And again, there
are two
options - to travel to places where it is cold all the time or the
countries
with the hot climate. In the first case, yourvacation will have the
visual effect only when you visit the corners of the world which are
notadopted for humans to survive. Such places are rarely visited by
Homo Sapiens though theesthetic appearance of places is sufficient to
endure some inconveniences for short time.
This includes the introducing tours
by Arctic and Antarctic outskirts, by the northern regions of
Scandinavia,
Russia and North
America with the severe romantic atmosphere which is highly loved
by those who really appreciate gorgeous snowbound landscapes without
the riot
of colors. The hot climate countries provide warmer pleasure with
floundering
in warm water of tropic seas called diving. As an extreme sport, diving
is getting more appreciated for theversions of this activity. And those
who are willing to try it are welcome to choose theexercises depending
on their physical and psychological condition.
Seasonal change of the climate
and recurrent phenomenon like storm and rainy season specify places the
divers
tend to visit depending on various seasons. So, November is the good
time to go
for diving to Australia, and
Thailand
is better to visit in February and March.
Anyway,
this extreme recreation is still what we call vacation. There is the trendy
movement so called ecological volunteering when people spend their time and
assets to assist in preserving some rare animals or vegetation. In other words,
such people pay to live away from home and work in extreme conditions. This
activity is favorable for those wealthy people who are full with good
impressions and seek for some exciting and strong feelings along with the thoughts
of the time spent for better things. The people, who tend for such activity pay
a lot to spend several weeks in America
breeding wild horses, care for the Egyptian vultures in Croatia, elephants in Thailand,
sea turtles in Costa-Rica, to crop for the black African rhinoceros or clear
the paths for almost deleted species of lizards in Honduras. In this event the
activity is more like the way to acquire newer and stronger impressions but not
the relaxation and recreation time. With the activity related to nature
preservation so popular recently, such exotic vacation may become more demanded
among working people.
