Guangzhou is
the capital of Guangdong Province in southern China. It is a lively place, also
called Sui, meaning Ears of Rice what is very typical for this country. It is

Sun Yat-sen
Memorial Hall on the southern slope of Yuexiu Hill was constructed as a
monument to Dr Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of Chinese democratic revolution. The
hall, a grand octagon building of typical Chinese architectural style, looks
brand new because of reconstructions. Being an important places for conferences
and meeting of businessmen it can hold thousands of people there, to this
extent it is spacious.
Ancestral
temple of Chen family is also called Chen Clan Academy. It is placed in the
rectangular building designed and adorned in traditional Guangdong style. It used to provide rooms for members of the
Chen family. Now it is Guangdong Folk Craftwork museum.
Yuexiu Park
is the largest park named after the Yuexiu Mountain; this park has 7 hills of
Yuexiu Mountain and 3 artificial lakes. This place is very popular among the
tourists for its blooming flowers and evergreen trees. Visitors
may enjoy different flowers at different seasons, namely azaleas in late
spring, yulan magnolias in April, and the kapok in spring. Pavilions, towers
and corridors of flowers are always to the access of visitors.
Temple of
Six Banyan Trees is an ancient temple built in the Liang Dynasty in Guangzhou,
southern China. This place houses a wide
range of cultural historical objects and artifacts. The Six Banyan Pagoda was
built in 1097. Tourists will see the Laughing Buddha as soon as they enter the
Tianwang Hall.
Baiyun
Mountain is also known as the White Cloud Mountain. Clouds appear everywhere on
this mountain. It was a popular scenic spot in Guangzhou in the past. It has stunning
scenery and plentiful historical relics. The highest peaks are Moxing Ridge, Mingzhu
Tower, Baiyun cableway, Mingchun Valley and Luhu Lake. As an amusement
attraction tourists can enjoy slide ways and bungee jumping there.
The other
amusing stuff in Guangzhou is its zoo, famous for the major ocean exhibition
house and the country's largest butterfly ecology garden. The animals are kept
in different places due to their types and you have a chance to see there the
panda, golden-haired monkey, elk, red-crowned crane and other precious animals
unique to China. The Ocean World, the part of the Guangzhou Zoo, provides Fresh
Water World, Sea Turtle Pool, Shark Hall, Ocean Theater and Seaweed Pillar and
other submarine wonders to the admiration of public.
The largest
attraction in Guangzhou is the Space Flight Spectacle that offers a number of
sections for different aspects. Among the most interesting aspects you will
like the Rocket Launch Square, The Friendship Camp and Control Center here.
Bright
Filial Piety Temple is one of the greatest and influential temples in China. The
Grief Bell which was set up during Tang Dynasty is in the shape of mushroom and
is made of stone with embossment illustrating various aspects of Buddhism. The Grand
Hall built during Jin Period represents Buddism elements of culture and history
of Guangzhou.
Han Nanyue
King Tomb Museum is the oldest and the largest Han tomb housing the most
funerary objects. There are a plenty of cultural relics, bronze ware and terra
cotta ware of Chinese culture.
